Anastasia Sheldon was raised in Marin County. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from The Evergreen State College in Washington State in 1985. For many years, she worked in the field of health care culminating with the successful creation and management of a clinic that specialized in providing Feldenkrais care to women in recovery from breast cancer, people with chronic diseases and under-served seniors.

In January of 2004, faced with a decision about where to send her twin daughters, Anastasia began a campaign to create a Waldorf-inspired public school program. In just 3 short months, the Lagunitas Board of Trustees voted to adopt their third educational program: Waldorf-inspired. 

Anastasia loves to hike the hills of Marin. When not out hiking, she can be found on her yoga mat.  Anastasia’s two daughters  attended Archie Williams HS and now are launching their careers in the film industry in Los Angeles.
